Dopacare Initiative in Schools

The Dopacare Initiative focuses on empowering schools across Cameroon by addressing menstrual health challenges that often prevent girls from attending school. By providing access to washable pad-making workshops, distributing reusable pads, and delivering comprehensive menstrual health education, we create sustainable solutions that enable girls to stay in school and reach their full potential.

What We Do in Schools

Community Involvement:
We involve parents and local leaders in school workshops to ensure menstrual health education reaches beyond the classroom, fostering a supportive and informed community.

Washable Pad-Making Workshops:
We organize interactive workshops where students learn how to make their own reusable pads. This not only provides an immediate solution for menstrual hygiene but also teaches practical skills that foster self-reliance and sustainability.

Menstrual Health Education:
Our school programs focus on breaking the stigma surrounding menstruation. Through engaging and age-appropriate sessions, students learn about menstrual health management (MHM) and gain confidence to discuss menstruation openly and positively.

Pad Distribution Programs:
We distribute washable pad kits to students, ensuring that lack of menstrual products is no longer a barrier to their education. Each kit is designed to last for months, offering a sustainable and eco-friendly solution.

Teacher and Peer Educator Training:
We equip teachers and student leaders with the tools and knowledge to continue the conversation about menstrual health. This helps sustain the impact of our programs and creates a supportive school environment.
